Power of the mind-body-spirit connection
I believe that for us to become whole and healthy we must balance the mind, body, and spirit. We need to take good care of our bodies. We need to have a positive mental attitude (PMA) about ourselves and life. And we need to have a strong spiritual connection with God. When we maintain these three things balanced, we are truly able to rejoice in living!
The way we think and talk to ourselves has a lot to do with how we feel about ourselves and our environments. This is why when I speak to people that want to lose weight I share with them that the best diet is the diet of negative thoughts! Telling yourself things like “I should be able to handle this better,” or “I’ll never get the hang of this’ only adds to the stressfulness of situations and does nothing to resolve them. Learn to listen for – and learn to make yourself stop-this type of inner dialogue,. Some therapists recommend shouting “Stop!” (or any other phrase that you may chose) as soon as any negative or unpleasant thoughts enter your mind.
Were you aware that it has been scientifically proven that dis-ease CANNOT live in a body that is in a healthy/positive emotional state. Our physiology creates dis-ease to give us feedback and signals to let us know that we have an unbalanced perspective and we’re not being loving and grateful.
It doesn’t matter how long we’ve had negative thoughts, or patterns, bad relationships, lack of finances, or an illness. We can begin to makes changes TODAY! The thoughts we’ve held and the words we’ve repeatedly used have created our life and experiences up to this point. However, that is the past thinking. What we’re choosing to think and say today, and at this moment will create tomorrow and the next day and the next weeks, months, years and so on. The point of power is always in the present moment. This is where we begin to make changes. We can really begin to let old patterns and thoughts go RIGHT NOW! The smallest beginning will make a difference.
When you were a tiny baby, you were full of joy and love. You knew how importantyou were. You had such courage that you asked for what you wanted and you expressed all your feelings openly. You loved every part of yourself totally. You knew you were perfect. And that is the truth of your being. All the rest is learned nonsense and can be unlearned. How often have you said, “That’s the way I am,’ or “That’s the way it is.” What we’re really saying is that it is what we ‘believe to be true for us.” Usually what we believe is only someone else’s opinion that we’ve accepted and incorporated into our own belief system. It fits in with other things that we believe. For example, if we were taught as a child that the world is a frightening place, then everything we hear that fits in with this belief we will accept as true for us- for example: “Don’t trust strangers,” “Don’t go out at night,” “People cheat you,” and so on. On the other hand, if we were taught early in life that the world is a safe and joyous place, then we would believe other things such as: “Love is everywhere,” “People are so friendly,” and “Money comes to me easily.” Life’s experiences mirror our beliefs.
If we want lives with high levels of health, wellness, and joy, love, we must think joyous thoughts, be grounded in Gods love and peace, and consistently be filled with gratitude. Whatever we send out mentally or verbally will come back to us in like form. Be willing to change your words and thoughts and watch your life change. The way to control your life is to control your choice of words and thoughts. No one thinks in your mind but you.
Golden nugget:
What would you say if I could give you a simple affirmation that you can start using right away? And as you start reading and verbalizing it daily, along with taking the proper action, you can quickly start to create the type of healthy consciousness and body that will allow you to start living the abundant life God has for you?! Here you go; Its based from Philippians 4:13 ~ I am doing all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Be blessed!
